Anjaan opened in 21 countries in overseas market at over 343 locations. It was the 2nd biggest release of this year next to Kochadaiiyaan. The movie opened at 65 locations in the US and collected $162,463 [₹. 98.82 lacs] from 57 reported locations in just four days.
In Malaysia the movie opened at record 81 locations and collected $826,449 [₹.5.02 Cr] in just 3 days. Anjaan's Malaysia opening weekend is the biggest opener for a Tamil movie in 2014. Opening weekend numbers surpassed other biggies such as of Jilla, Veeram and Kochadiiyaan. Anjaan now features at 6th spot in Top 20 Opening Weekend of All-Time in Malaysia.
In UK the movies was released in record number of screens by Ayngaran International Ltd. The movie released at 58 locations and managed to ring in £ 85,120 [₹.86.66 lacs] from 44 reported locations. For a record a release the collections are just average and have no chance to improve as an age restriction still applies to audience. Only those of Age 15+ are allowed to watched the Movie in UK.
In Australia Anjaan opened at 9 locations and managed to collect A$107,013 [₹. 60.66 lacs]. This is the 2nd best opener of 2014 next to Kochadaiiyaan. The movie is extended into week 2. In Norway Anjaan opened at three location and managed to ring in a whopping $24,834 [ ₹. 15.10 lacs]. Anjaan had the best opening weekend of 2014 in Norway.
The movie also released in Sri Lanka, UAE-GCC, Europe, Singapore and Canada. However no official box-office numbers are available from these territories.
